Terms of Use

Plain-language terms for using the tools, guides and team rooms on this site.

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Using the site

ChronoClock is free to use. There is no account to create, no subscription, and no payment. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

You may use the tools for personal or work purposes, including at a company, and you may print and use the templates. You may not resell the site or present it as your own service.

The service is provided as is

Everything here is offered without any warranty, express or implied. The site may be unavailable, may contain errors, and may behave differently across browsers. Nothing is guaranteed to be accurate, complete or available at any particular moment.

Time zone rules, holiday dates, sunrise and moon calculations and similar data can change or contain mistakes. Do not rely on this site alone for anything with a real deadline, a flight, a legal filing or a payment attached to it. Check an authoritative source.

The tools give estimates, not professional advice

The calculators and planners produce estimates from the numbers you type in. They do not know your situation and they are not a substitute for professional judgement.

Health and wellbeing tools

The sleep calculator, jet lag planner, breathing exercises and break reminders are not medical advice. They are general rules of thumb. They do not diagnose or treat anything. If you have a sleep disorder, a breathing or heart condition, anxiety, or any other health concern, talk to a qualified clinician rather than a web page.

Money, time and work tools

The billable hours calculator, work hours calculator and meeting cost calculator are not legal, tax, payroll, accounting or financial advice. Working time rules, overtime rules, break entitlements, rounding conventions and invoicing requirements vary by country, state, industry and contract. You are responsible for checking your own agreement, your employer's policy and the law where you are before relying on any figure this site produces.

Your data and the risk of losing it

As explained in the Privacy Policy, the work you do in these tools is stored in your own browser, not on a server. That is good for privacy and it puts the risk of loss on you.

Clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, a browser update, running low on storage, switching devices or an ordinary bug can all wipe what you saved. There is no backup and no copy for anyone to restore. If something is important, keep it somewhere else too. You are responsible for anything you need to keep.

Acceptable use in team rooms

The real-time rooms, including planning poker, the retro board, meeting polls, the shared timer, mood check, lean coffee, async standup and affinity sizing, are shared spaces. When you use one:

  • Do not post unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful or infringing content, and do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
  • Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, probe or break the service, or to gain access to rooms or systems you were not invited to.
  • Remember that a room is open to anyone holding the link. Do not put confidential business information, personal data about other people, credentials or anything sensitive in one.

You are responsible for what you put in a room. Room contents may be removed, and rooms expire automatically after a period of inactivity in any case.

Changes to the site

Tools, guides and templates may be changed, renamed, moved or withdrawn at any time, without notice. A tool you use today might not exist next month. These terms can also be updated, and the date at the top of this page will change when they are. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator of this site is not liable for any loss that results from using it or from being unable to use it. That includes lost or corrupted data, a missed meeting, a missed deadline, a wrong time zone conversion, an incorrect invoice or estimate, lost income, or anything else that follows from relying on the site.

This is a free tool run by one person. Use it as a helpful convenience, verify anything that carries a real cost, and keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

No governing law or jurisdiction is specified here yet. Rather than name one that has not been decided, this section is left open on purpose: the operator will state the governing law and venue on this page when it is settled. Until then, any dispute is handled under whatever law applies by default in your jurisdiction and ours.
